It 's almost confirmed! Apple will unveil the next generation iPhone at an event on Tuesday, September 10. The news comes from AllThingsD WSJ, which has a great experience to accurately report the event dates.
ATD Ina Fried writes:
It is expected that Apple will unveil its next iPhone at a special event on 10 September, sources told AllThingsD.
The launch comes at an important time for Apple, which is making a lot of money from the iPhone, but has seen its overall drop in market share amid a growing wave of cheap Android devices as well as an intense battle with his rival Samsung.
As for what you can expect from Apple during the event: it is likely that Apple will release a spec-beaten version of the iPhone 5, rumored to 'iPhone 5S ", which apparently will feature a 12 megapixel camera with flash Dual LED, higher resolution screen, a fingerprint sensor, a faster processor and more, along with a budget-friendly model 'iPhone 5C' for the low-end market.
Final public version of iOS in July probably will debut at the same event.
AllThingsD report says nothing about the iPad that, in any case, it means that Apple will hold a separate event in October or November for the next generation iPad.
OS X Mavericks will be announced in the coming weeks, probably before the September 10 events.
